Our Purpose / TurnUpYVR, a Vancouver based non-partisan group dedicated to youth political engagement, looked for a unique opportunity to engage the youth voter for the Canadian elections. On October 10, 2015 it hosted an afternoon of bus-based concerts that shuttled voters to advanced polling stations, featuring local bands and artists. Brix was engaged to help spread the word to perspective youth voters in Vancouver.

Our Approach / Brix leveraged the innovative voting platform, and notable musicians who performed on the busses including Dan Magnan, Mother Mother’s Ryan Guldemond, and the Zolas’ Zach Gray to engage with local media to help spread the word.

Our Impact / We were successful in securing segments on Global, CBC, CTV, and feature coverage including the Globe and Mail, Georgia Straight, and Metro Vancouver - with an estimated reach of over 12M in twelve articles.
